The father should have a say, he has every right to vopice his opinions, but the end decision is the womans.

I say tie it to responsibility. If an unwed pregnant woman can legally make the biological father pay to support her child, then he should also deserve a say in whether it lives or not.

This is why I don't like the idea of making it seem like a pregnant woman is strictly one person who has bumped into some accident. A pregnant woman has (a potential) someone inside her, and a third person put that inside her. It gets complicated.

He can voice his opinion, but again...the woman still gets the final say in what happens with her pregnancy. If a guy wanted her to abort, but she wanted to carry...he should be given a time frame to sign over his parental rights.

No it doesn't. She's the one with the uterus. It's inside HER body. I'm an extremist on this issue, but if a guy doesn't want to run the risk of pregnancy, his ability to do so stops when the sperm leaves his penis. EVEN given condom use, EVEN if the woman is definitely on the Pill.

But isn't that kinda saying the man has no rights when the woman is pregnant, only when she has given birth?

None whatsoever when it comes to the continuance or termination of the pregnancy. It's a complicated issue; my main problem comes when people moot giving men the right to terminate the parental relationship as some kind of equivalent to a woman's right to abort.

If one of the two people want the baby kept to grow and live then thats what matters. And I still see the idea that the baby is bigger than both of them, that baby matters more than either person, and thinking any other way is thinking selfishly. Gotta think about the baby before yourself.
Erm no i don't have to do anything, if i don't want the fetus to stay inside me then its not going to, end of.
MY family - I decide IF and WHEN to add to it.

Rather, the US SUpreme Court have RULED that there is a CONSTITUTIONAL right to an abortion.
Yes and no. They ruled that she has a constiutional right to privacy in her medical procedures based on the 9th amendment. Nothing in the constitution grants abortion. SOmeone reading the 9th amendment another way can easily say that there is no right to abortion because it dosn't specificly grant it (The arguing for granting it is abortion is a medical procedure, which would fit under the privacy). Granted roe v wade is here to stay, but the court has declared some pretty ugly decisons such as dred scott, so they aren't infallible.

Just thought I'd clear that up.

The decision was based on several people's oppinion, federal banks were granted in the same manner, infact that's an issue with the document itself (Getting alittle off topic here) you can interpret it anyway you want, and make it say stuff it dosn't.

The complete soulution imo is contracts, and whatever both parties agree on is what happens. IT's not slavery if the contract says the kid is born, because the would be mother agreed to it knowing the stipulations to it. ANd it would give an outlet for guys who don't want anything to do with the child. At the same time, those who would abort no matter what would simply either have that in the contract, if they can't agree, don't have sex with the person.

Seems like a fair soulution, and dosn't opress anyone.

Simply put, because when she got the abortion, your sperm was not still connected to your body, but the ZEF was to hers. It was every bit a part of HER body as her nails, teeth and hair (assuming she's not bald)

Because it's her body and screwing her doesn't make her your property.

When you get pregnant, you go ahead and do what you want with it.
